Mara is a lawyer with over 20 years’ experience in Indigenous, environmental, administrative and Constitutional law. She has worked in both the public and private sectors. Mara runs her own law practice, Pollock Law, and provides advice to First Nation governments, independent boards, individuals and corporations. Mara volunteers her time as a board member of The Nelson Project because she knows that by working with the members her quality of life as well as theirs is greatly enhanced. Mara is married to Thomas and is the mother of two university-aged daughters, Ella and Sadie. They are a close knit family that loves to fish, camp, travel, train their dogs, eat good food, and host family and friends year-round.
